Hero or Enemy ..

There was a legend,
in the mongol land.
Their’s was a hero,
unlike any other.

There is a account,
in the roman land.
There was a savage,
unlike any other,

Different tales,
yet goes by common name,
Genghis Khan.

When a hero slays,
we revel.
Yet for some,
sad is the tale.

For every enemy slain,
a martyr is born.

In the moment of festivity,
when we frolic,
we forget,
anguish and pain,
across the plain.

When the dust has settled,
passions allayed,
an idea sets in,
that hero or enemy,
are but the two sides of the same coin.
